Curreri College Counseling provides high school students with the guidance and tools needed to maximize their chances of admission to the universities of their choice.
Founded by Karen Curreri in 2003, CCC works with students and their families on an individual basis in order to offer customized advice. From the initial consultation to notification dates from an array of collegiate institutions, Ms. Curreri offers the following services to students:
- develops a list of target colleges with each student based on the student’s skills, interests, and other criteria
- assists the student in choosing essay topics and maximizing the portrayal of each student’s unique traits and life experiences
- reviews each student’s course-load, activities, and community participation and makes recommendations according to the student’s goals
- provides referrals to specialists for students experiencing, or suspected of experiencing, learning disabilities
Other activities in which Curreri College Counseling engages include:
- visiting over a dozen college campuses each year to become closely acquainted with specialized programs offered by different institutions, and to meet with admissions officers
- delivering presentations to athletic organizations, cultural groups, and other entities providing activities for high school-age students and/or their parents
